'board' is defined by the Big Word Project
board is pleased to be a new contributor to The Big Word Project, by redefining the word ‘board’. The Big Word Project has been set up by Paddy Donnelly and Lee Munroe, two Masters students from Northern Ireland exploring what different words mean to different people.

We recently combined its skills to bring you this new sparkling service. ‘Boardsites’ amalgamates years of graphic and spatial design knowledge with new web technologies to create stunning and effective websites in-house. Until now, this level of service has been reserved exclusively for wealthy corporate dot coms… Not any more! board Runs Rings Around London with 2012 Tube Map Bid.
 board is currently attempting to capture the imagination of Transport for London (TFL), with it’s alternative re-working of the London tube map. Designed to celebrate the up-coming 2012 Olympics, this project was opened early last year to look into the viability of re-constructing the map entirely out of rings, as opposed to lines, reflecting the rings of the famous Olympic symbol. After much experimentation, last year’s initial results were startlingly effective, and recent usability feedback has been very positive.
For this exciting project to progress any further and develop into a reality, board needs the support and expertise of TFL. Watch this space…
Internet Café Concept Seeks Investor With Vision...
Last year board teamed up with architect and designer, Regitze Muller, to makeover the high street Internet environment. The concept is aimed at the ever-growing community of mobile creatives – wireless freelancers – whose office is whichever WiFi café they deem charming and equipped enough to patronise; a discerning crowd, they require attractive and comfortable surroundings, high-speed internet connection, printing facilities and superior refreshments.
The duo are yet to finalise a location, though the blueprint has received fantastic feedback.

What´s Up SketchUp? New 3D Courses In Berlin
Danish Architect MAA, Regitze Møller offers teaching in SketchUp during June and July.
Regitze has 9 years experience in teaching higher education art schools such as the Aarhus school of Architecture, Krabbesholm Højskole in Denmark and a wide range of other private art schools.
